Watercolors at San Ferdinando

James Huntley

As a part of being awarded a Lilly Creativity Foundation Grant for the summer of 2010, James came to Tuscany to capture the light in his watercolor series entitled, " Tuscany in Tones."

Podere San Ferdinando was a perfect central location to fan out and explore the areas around Pisa and Peccioli.  James has a fine arts degree from Indiana University ( Bloomington ) and a master's degree from the University of Illinois (Champaign-Urbana).  He also studied Chinese painting for three years in Taiwan , the Republic of China.
